Volunteering for Funeral Services at Masumeen Islamic Centre

The Masumeen Islamic Centre (MIC) management committee is looking to facilitate holding salaatul mayyit programs at MIC in the event there is death in the community whose burial is planned for at Meadowvale Cemetery in Brampton.

This would allow friends, family and community members living in the vicinity to take part in the last rites of the deceased and console the grieving family.

Programs such as these are only possible with the help of volunteers. While the number of deaths in this area is small (we had 2 deaths in 2022) whose burial may be at Meadowvale Cemetery, death can happen to anyone at any time and hence we must be prepared to host one at short notice.

There are several volunteering opportunities associated with funeral services. If you would like to volunteer, please register your interest at masumeen.org/funeralvolunteer, and a member of management will reach out to you.
